What, in your opinion, were the "forgotten mountains" which were "cold beneath the Moon" that the last "untimely brood" of Black Wings originated in? Please explain why you think your theory is good.
@Fandyllic Nothing.
@KillRoy231 @StingString @Guy who types stuff 1.1 @Fandyllic
“Why didn't they fly the eagles to Mordor?“
The best and most obvious reason is that the Eagles aren’t immune to the effects of the One Ring, regardless of whether they are talking animals or Maiar. The ring can tempt just about anyone, even the Eagles.
Also, I am surprised nobody mentioned the Mordor Special Mission Flying Corps.
@StingString Scatha the Worm and The Mewlips convey two very different kinds of horror.
Scatha is really creepy in poem no. 177 (''Scatha the Worm'') in ''The Collected Poems of J.R.R. Tolkien''.

I really liked season two better than season one and I hope that season three is better than season two.
@Fandyllic The original post by KaraZorElisLongPig asked what people believed happened to them. Tolkien may not have written about the ultimate fate of the Blue Wizards, but people can have headcanons and speculate about the ultimate fate of the Blue Wizards.
@Crystal Vulptex Samwise Gamgee is a Hobbit and Hobbits are a subrace of Men.
Physically? Túrin. Without question.
But mentally? Anyone but Túrin (probably Samwise Gamgee).
@MenthilArtisan I recently watched the film and the only inaccuracy I saw that was beyond the scope of interpretation was that Helm’s murder of Freca was changed to a duel rather than a punch in anger. But that is just a nitpick on my part.
@Fandyllic Regarding your criticism of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”, some people (like me) actually like that show. Can you please not make your opinion as a fact? It is pretty harsh to see. But that is just what I think and my opinion may not be shared by others.
My best recommendation would be to start with The Hobbit first as that is a shorter book and gets into magic (chapter one) and monsters (chapter two) pretty quickly whereas The Lord of the Rings is slower in that regard.
However, both are great books and can be started before the other. I hope you enjoy reading them.
I actually like the look of the version of the Witch-king in “Middle-earth: Shadow of War”.
Reply to main post - @Alex of Star Wars Sauron's perspective of Gandalf is quite fascinating. It would have been very interesting if The Lord of the Rings was ever retold (in the far future) from Sauron's perspective. Have you ever thought about doing videos on The Children of Húrin (or in particular The Wanderings of Húrin)?
Reply to first comment - @WizardWarrior1 Who cares about accents? People can talk how they want to talk.
Reply to second comment - @Alex of Star Wars Interesting. I hope that with time, you manage to improve your “R”s in English. While English is my first language, I have a severe speech impediment that makes me pronounce words and letters very poorly. It often leads to some pretty frustrating, and sometimes alarming, situations. It was way worse when I was younger (I was once considered to be completely unintelligible), but I improved drastically with time to the point where it is barely noticeable (the most severe issue that I still have is mispronouncing “R” as “W”). I wish you luck in improving your English pronunciation.
Reply to third comment - @Fandyllic I agree with you, but it was wrong of you to phrase this in this way.
Reply to fourth comment - @Alex of Star Wars It is interesting how not many people tend to dig deep into Morgoth’s Ring as opposed to say The Book of Lost Tales Parts One and Two.
Reply to fifth comment - @Fandyllic I agree. I found the post and video very interesting, but did not feel the need to comment. I am only commenting now to oppose the negativity that arose as a reaction to the discussion post.
@Fandyllic Don’t compare The Stranger reveal to Jar Jar Binks as some people like me actually liked Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequels.
The Stanger is on a different level, and should have been Saruman instead of Gandalf.
@Fandyllic I don’t think anyone would say that Berek is NOT one of their favorite characters. Nobody hates him because he is a good character.
I agree that Berek is a good character to like.
It is very good.
The Rings of Power Galadriel is better in my opinion.
My favorite mystery is this:
What fate did Tolkien envision for Húrin when he wrote the “Concerning the Hoard” manuscript?
Especially since Melian never heals him in that final version and instead "Húrin laughed in contempt and went out, unmolested, into the night".
And that is the last that Tolkien ever wrote on Húrin, leaving his ultimate fate unknown.
Despite this, in the same manuscript, Tolkien wrote that both Maedhros and Maglor had perished with the Silmarils.
The Ñoldor are my favorite because I like complex characters.
