Maybe the writers are setting him up to be Sauron. All of the evidences are clearly intentional. It's so obvious.

This thread is a warzone. This show is not good for hardcore Tolkien fans. If you are not familiar with the lore or maybe you are fine with the direction the show is going then this is for you. But this show is not everyone's cup of tea so everyone should be mindful of that.

The fact that some here are angry about other people's opinions is a shame. I do think this show has problems with acting and writing. Thank you for adding that.

Visually it's great. It lacks emotion. All the characters have straight faces and it's hard to see their expressions. When they speak they sound dull. I think the writing can also be improved. It's not very bad as some say it is but it needs improvements.
