I agree what others have said. It's like of like the "super serum" from Marvel (I know, different fandom) because it enhances who you are. If you have bad intentions to begin with the serum would amplify that. So, I think that, because he was already an evil man, it wasn't super hard for Melkor to corrupt him and amplify (for lack of a better word) the evil intentions that were already there. Melkor didn't have to put those thoughts and ideas there. So, he was a villainous character made into a villain by the small "shove" that Melkor's influence gave.
I think this is a great idea! I recently did something similar (though not as large) for a school project of mine. Something you could add is not only visual art but audio art (there are been a lot of music pieces inspired by Tolkien ex: Led Zeppelin). Just an idea! Good luck on your project!
I think @Logan Flanagan has a great point. The time period that the books were supposed to take place didn't generally have women out fighting in wars. However, that is made up by the types of women Tolkien put into his writing. Arwen, Galadriel, Eowyn, Elwing, Idril... all of them are incredible women!

I believe you are correct about us not knowing their exact origin although the Hobbits we see in LOTR and TH are descended from the original "river folk" that first lived by the Anduin River. I think it is kind of fun to guess where they may have come from. I saw a digital art piece that someone made that depicted the idea that Yavanna the Valar created the Hobbits. But I think it is safe to say, that Tolkien left that up to our imagination. :D
Wow! Hats off to you for being able to read them so young! That is awesome! I think as far as level of reading it may be hard for some younger kids based on their reading abilities, but as you have proved, it just depends on the person. Some of the content, like maybe the book "The Children of Hurin" may be a little to heavy for younger readers.

The first character that came to mind was Boromir, but I 100% agree with @ArwenUdomiel as well about Frodo!

Hi! So if you are referring to the very very end of the book, Frodo was given permission to go to the Undying Lands/Valinor along with Bilbo. They got to go because they were such vital members of the whole goal of destroying the Ring and Sauron as well as the fact that they had both been damaged by the effects of the ring and living in Arda for the rest of their days was not going to be pleasant.

I, personally, am trying to figure out how I feel about Tauriel. Evangeline Lilly is a super talented actress so it is nothing against her. I am a little iffy about the "Tauriel and Killi" just because, when Tolkien does "cross race" (idk if that is the right word) relationships, it is really important and planned out, and this one seemed really rushed. However, I think that the relationship (Tauriel and Kili as well as the friendship between Tauriel and Legolas) was one of the things that helped push Thranduil's character development from cold and harsh, to someone who sees and cares about the people around him. :)
I definitely agree with you all about Legolas, he is great but there are so many other characters who are so well developed. Personally, I think Glorfindel is underrated, mostly because Peter Jackson decided to not put him in the movie *sigh*, but he is amazing in LOTR and the Silmarillion. I also think that Boromir is kind of underrated since Aragorn kind of stood in the spot light, but I love how he redeemed himself by standing up for the halflings when the orcs attacked. :D

I think all the books and movie all have their own traits that are unique to that specific book or movie (if that makes any sense, haha!) I wouldn't say it is underrated, but "The Fall of Gondolin" definitely deserves to be talked about! :D
