Tbh, I think I like them equally, for example
The books- the og lotr and hobbit so u know, if I didn’t like them I probably wouldn’t have listened to the audio books like 5 million times-
The movies- Cmon bro, the movies are (in my opinion) works of fantastic art that cannot be remade. Ever. They had AMAZING actors, and I didn’t mind them changing the story to involve the elves (Arwen, legolas, and tauriel, thraunduil, etc)!

And @LLotLLotr uwu they were meant to start production in 2020 and it be first release in 2021 (this is cool as it marks 20 years of the first lotr movie) buuuutttt..... *waves hand at all of 2020*
