Just out of curiosity, which book did you read first? Personally I started with Lord of the Rings, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have started with the Hobbit, or, if you go all the way back to start with the Silmarillion (though that might be slightly intimidating)

if my memory serves me right, wasn’t going to middle earth their goal? Like it didn’t really seem to me that they were exiled didn’t they want to leave and were allowed to but then they committed the kin slaying and that’s when they were exiled? I could be wrong, been awhile since I read the silmarillion

I’m glad you agree, and yes I’m totally with you on Eowyn and Faramir, they have much more impact personally compared to Aragorn and Arwen, I think partly because they seem just so..human in a way that is so beautiful (though of course I appreciate both stories)
