I honestly think The Fellowship of the Ring would start with Frodo waking up shortly after destroying the One Ring as seen in The Return of the King, then the scene would change to the beginning at Bilbo's birthday. I also think the movies would constantly show backshots of the characters. I also think The Return of the King would end with Frodo waking up travelling to leave Middle-earth, later he'd check if his adventures were a dream somehow, and would be visted by Sam, Rosy and their children and the final shot of the movie would show the book Frodo was writing

For me it seemed it took him 29 days. I counted the days since Frodo left the Shire and that's the number I counted (counting the 6 days it took to get to Rivendell). I admit I never read the books though but I read it took him about 9 months in the book. Although I did start to read the 1st book but I never finished it. But AGAIN: this is what it seemed to me

If Bilbo doesn't want to go to adventures he shouldn't do it. Also the dwarfs didn't even force him to go. They gave him a limited time to decide

I became aware of it because of the Lego videogame based on the movies. I'm kinda ashamed i didn't even know about it before because years later i realized the movies are very popular

I'd say it took him about 11 days. I have trouble remembering because in The 2 Towers and The Return of the King we had to wait an eternity for Frodo to appear again. I read it took him some months in the books

Was it because of the game he and Legolas were playing or because of something else?

It was in the part where Merry and Pippin were singing in the bar. I never watched the extended version of the movie. I just found that part on YouTube
