With the recent passing of King Theoden, I was reminded of all the great “new to me actors/actresses” in the LoTR films.

Who was your favorite you’d seen for the first time?

When Tolkien’s estate resold the rights they refused to sell it to Warner brothers again because they wanted to remake Peter Jackson’s films, so the rights went to Amazon. So why are they allowing Warner bros to remake the Peter Jackson films now, or is that the entire reason they didn’t sell it to them in the first place?

Here are my thoughts. Earlier when I made a post someone disagreed with me because I only talked about one youtube channel. So here are my top 3 LotR youtube channels.

1. Nerd of the Rings - Nerd of the rings is a great channel if you want to learn about certain characters and places. He gives us a background on their life and what story they play. It is very interesting. His videos are mainly for people who at least have a little LotR knowledge, but even beginners will find his content enjoyable.

2. Men of the West - Men of the West is very similar to NotR. He sometimes talks about the upcoming rings of power show, and covers everything related to Tolkien.

3. Dudes from Middle Earth - the previous two channels are more information based, but Dudes from Middle Earth is a channel where you can enjoy two young actors recreating great LotR scenes and giving it there're best to stay true to Tolkien's works. They have great young talent and they definitely have motivation. They are still relatively small but have been growing fast.

What did you think were the worst and best changes that the movies made (LOTR or Hobbit, either of them)?

For me the worst change was probably the ignorance of the Ents.

The best... that's a bit more tricky, but I think the Paths of the Dead were a bit too 'meh' and confusing and anticlimactic in the book. I like that they made them a bit more exiting (though I think they should have kept them a bit more accurate)

I'm new on this wiki, I am a fantasy lover, and I absolutely LOVE Lord Of the Rings, the novels and the movies. I'd have to say my favorite character is probably Legolas, my favorite book\movie is The Two Towers, and honestly Galadriel creeps me out.

I prefer Sam over Frodo, I'm sorry but even though it was the ring's fault Frodo sometimes makes me mad the way he treats Sam. My favorite Hobbit(s) is definatly Pippin and Merry, I like the funny characters.

I'm excited to be on the wiki, and am ready to talk some Lord Of the Rings!
