Hi! I’m new to Fandom and i decided to pop in to the wiki about my favorite movies ever. My absolute favorite character is Legolas, as it says on the title, when i first watched The Hobbit i didnt really pay attention to him, but in lord of the rings i loved him, in two towers and return of the king i would wait for him to appear in the first time. Ive loved him since i was five years old soooooo yeah. I call him Elfie sometimes :) ignore my rambling of loving Elfie. I just wanted to say hi so I’m going to go read books now…….bye

Hey I finally joined this Fandom I've seen all of the Hobbit and LoTR movies I've read The Hobbit and started The Fellowship of The Rings Legolas is my favorite character and @DarthPotat0e is my brother

I'm new on this wiki, I am a fantasy lover, and I absolutely LOVE Lord Of the Rings, the novels and the movies. I'd have to say my favorite character is probably Legolas, my favorite book\movie is The Two Towers, and honestly Galadriel creeps me out.

I prefer Sam over Frodo, I'm sorry but even though it was the ring's fault Frodo sometimes makes me mad the way he treats Sam. My favorite Hobbit(s) is definatly Pippin and Merry, I like the funny characters.

I always wondered about the line in the Hobbit movies where Legolas confesses that his mother died at Gundabad in some sort of war waged there, but I couldn’t recall any reason for the wood elves to do so. Was that line simply not book!canon compliant or am I missing something...?

Just finished 'the two towers' and are quite confident. I have been a fan since the Jackson adaptation and read the books before but I must have missed the fact that Legolas has children.

I have been reading a Swedish translation from - 92 and don't have a original on hand. And I have not found any evidence of this here on fandom. I am wondering if the translation is correct!

It's the part when the trio is sanding before Fangong forest in chapter 5, right before they walk inside. Legolas says he feels young compared to the forest. Like when he walked with his children....

I'm just curious because I know that translations sometimes can be a bit off..

Orlando Bloom was two days away from finishing drama school when he got the part in LotR. He had also broken his back a year earlier and he was told he might never play a physical role in a movie again. A year later he was playing Legolas, preforming all of his own stunts. How cool is that!
