In my opinion it would be Eärendil because he killed Ancalagon and possessed a Silmaril but who do you all think it would be?

@WizardWarrior1 I won't repeat myself. It says that exact thing on this wiki. Literally every Tolkien enjoyer agrees about this.
@WizardWarrior1 Fandyllic was correct on this count; no amount of logic and/or evidence we could give him would satisfy him.
I think you're right.
@StingString dude, we're saying the exact same thing. There appears to be some kind of communication barrier, but I'm confident that we're saying the same thing.
@Immediate need No, we are not. To put it into simpler words, Sauron was killed by Isildur; but you believe that Sauron was killed by Gil-galad and/or Elendil.
@StingString can you please clarify what exactly you think happened? It seems like you're thinking of the movies.
@Immediate need Sauron was killed when Isildur cut off the finger containing the Ring. The movies are true to the books in this aspect.
I’m starting to agree that it was Feanor. Too late?🤣
@StingString what? Every person who knows anything about the LotR books knows that Sauron fought the duo of Elendil and Gil-galad, and thus was defeated. He didn't just keel over and die like in the film.
Insults aren't going to get you anywhere. I also suspect you won't be able to outsource StingString.
Allow me to say this one more time: Gil-Galad did not kill Sauron. Sauron killed him. Isildur killed Sauron.
Not super complicated.
What do you think?
