Barad Dur is simply gigantic, it is massive beyond all compare, filled with elite Uruk-Hai, guarded by many demonic creatures, is the dwelling of Sauron, and is the Capital of Mordor, and, by extension, all of Sauron's united kingdoms.

Barad Dur is EASILY the scariest. Dol Gulder is not as scary.
