I was wondering what age Tolkien's books are for because I'm 11 but I've read the lord of the rings, the hobbit and the silmarillion and I know adults who find reading them difficult. Thank you for any feedback

I dont think theres an age for books it just depends on your level of ability if u read the scilmaridian you will find lord of the rings easy
Not trying to boast or anything like that, but I was reading pretty complex things at the age of 5, I’ve always loved history and documentaries and learned to read at a very young age. I don’t think it matters how old you are, if you are interested in something, your brain will have the desire to comprehend it, and once you do actually comprehend it, you fall in love with, or begin to hate it. And if you’re like me when I was 11, you should be fine. But to answer your question, I would probably recommend the Hobbit around 8-9, and LoTR and other books, 10-12. After that understanding them becomes a lot easier if you already like them.
@The forgotten Valar, good for you! That's quite an accomplishment! I've known of people reading Lord of the Rings at all different ages. My personal opinion is to read them around 12, but it depends a lot on how well you read and whether you're interested. Some people I know will always have a hard time reading LOTR no matter how old they are, simply because they have a hard time with his writing style. Other younger readers fly through them! I do feel that you can get more out of the books if you read them a little later. There is so much deep theme, meaning and layer to the story that you can miss otherwise. LOTR is a very dense book and I know that I enjoy and appreciate it more every time I read it! Happy reading!
Agreed the only book i wouldn't let a child have that ive read would be peter Benchleys jaws that is surprisingly adult considering the film was fairly tame
Wow! Hats off to you for being able to read them so young! That is awesome! I think as far as level of reading it may be hard for some younger kids based on their reading abilities, but as you have proved, it just depends on the person. Some of the content, like maybe the book "The Children of Hurin" may be a little to heavy for younger readers.
I really dont know, my dad tried to read me The Hobbit when i was 9 and i thought it was boring, but then i read it again when i was 11 and i liked it. Then i read LotR when i was 12 and The Silmarillion when I was 13. However my friend read LotR and The Hobbit when she was 9 and The Silm when she was 11 so I think it really just depends on the person.
What do you think?
