So I discovered this black metal band called Summoning that deals with Tolkien’s mythology in it’s lyrics. I want to see if there are any other rock/metal bands that use Tolkien in their lyrics. I know that Amon Amarth was named after Mount Doom (but their lyrics mostly deal with vikings and Norse mythology) and I know that Led Zeppelin occasionally referenced Lord of the Rings, but I’m looking for bands that specifically use Tolkien’s universe for their lyrics.

Doesn't really count but Christopher Lee was in a rock band called Charlemagne I think

Ye he said it was “symphonic metal” it wasn’t really related to Tolkien but I still think it was pretty good. He also did a narration in the 2011 version of “dark avenger” by manowar. Basically he was a legend is what I’m saying.

I had no idea of any of this but I love it. I am a big fan of rock and metal and also of Tolkien so i find it so rad that this stuff exists
