Now i'm wondering if I should reread the whole thing or if I should read the appendices or read the silmarillion?

Have you read the Hobbit? The Hobbit is really good as a book.
Read Unfinished tales of Numenor and Middle Earth.
Read the appendices, and the hobbit! Then, read the Silmarillion. Oh, and make sure to check out Beren and Lúthien while you're at it.
@ARoyalPrincess Thanks a lot for the response, I’ll do that. @Brave Hobbit Yes I have read the hobbit (twice actually) and enjoyed it a lot!! @IAmCattima Okay, I’ll look into that. @KazBodnar Thanks, I’ll certainly try. :)
The Silmarillion is really confusing. You kind of need to know the basic storyline before reading it, otherwise it’s hard to follow.
U must read the hobbit
@LightninC42, congratulations on finishing the Lord of the Rings! Hope you had a great time reading! As @ARoyalPrincess mentioned, I would definitely read Appendix A next. It is so much fun to read as it covers the backstory of the Gondorians, the Dwarves, the Rohirrm and tale of Arwen and Aragorn. It's also not too long! The rest of the appendices are not in a story format like the first one, but definitely keep them on hand because they're full of very useful information. The timeline in Appendix B especially. Afterwards I would start on The Silmarillion. It is an amazing book full of the incredible tales that are in the rich history of Middle-earth. It's a bit dense though because there's so much information packed into it. Just take your time and make sure to use the index and maps in the back. You can also use a reading guide online to help you through it and it is completely worth it! Have a great time reading and good luck!
Thank you for the help, @ArwenUdomiel I had a brilliant time reading Lord of the Rings and will definitely read the appendices and Silmarillion now. :)
@LightninC42, you're welcome! So glad you enjoyed it!😊
Definitely read the appendices! Anything you didn't understand in the book will be explained!
What do you think?
